In association with the Rose of Tralee International Festival CELEBRATING THE ROSE OF TRALEE FESTIVAL What are the Rose Buds?Every young Kerry girl dreams of the day that they themselves could don a sash and wave to their adoring fans in the Rose of Tralee. The Rose Buds is a unique way for young girls to learn, experience and blossom into future Roses. Parade Highlights: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nanqfGnerw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1djmmehJgW0 ARCHIVE - ROSE BUDS 2009 ‘A dream come through for….their proud parents’ In 2009 TOBY WORLD Family Entertainment Centre in Tralee, randomly drew 50 young girls from over 1500 applications to be a Rose Bud, to take part in the festival as ‘mini roses’. These lucky 50 young ladies had the most amazing week, with photo-calls, leading the parade, private meets with the Rose Contestants, exclusive Family Passes to the Big T Party in the Greyhound Stadium, Special guests at the 1st televised Selection night and many more events. On top of all this they appeared in local papers, national papers, RTE Television (5 times), local, regional and national radio stations - Real Celebrity stuff!! For their families it provided a once in a lifetime opportunitity to see their little princesses in the limelight, attending fantastic fun events and being treated like super-stars for a week. All the events were capped off with a private party for the Rose Buds and their friends and Family in Toby World with live music, DJ, food and drink - and loads of fun, sure what else would you expect from Toby World.
